Problems with filing an FPS on time

HMRC have announced that employers with fewer than 50 employees who will have difficulty meeting the ‘on or before’ reporting requirements of RTI because they pay weekly can report monthly in the following situations.
The regular pay date is monthly. Employees are paid weekly or more frequently. Full weekly FPS reporting starts properly from 05 October 2013. The important point here is that this easement is for those employers who “have difficulty” filing their FPS only – so generally speaking all weekly payrolls should send an FPS weekly if at all possible.
